The Auto PSOC™ - Programmable System on Chip, integrate Infineon best-in-class capacitive sensing technology for demanding Human Machine Interface (HMI) applications in the automotive interior as well as exterior applications like Battery Management Systems (BMS) along with an ARM Cortex-M0/M0+ CPU, flash and memory. A programmable analog front-end with ADC, operational amplifiers, low-power comparators combined with digital blocks and various communication interfaces such as SENT, LIN, CAN and CAN FD provide a single-chip smart sensor with high integration and small footprint. Extended development ecosystem has been build around PSOC™ 4 Automotive  including multiple software compatibility and the famous Modustoolbox™ software, easy-to-use IDE that introduces a game-changing schematic entry design methodology.

Today's touchscreen devices face tough environments. With displays becoming noisier and devices being used in harsher conditions, providing high-touch performance demands a tougher touchscreen controller. PSOC™ Automotive Multitouch touchscreen controllers leverage the industry's broadest capacitive touch IP portfolio to deliver a new standard for performance to automotive touchscreens

The Automotive Multitouch family offers solutions for single touch, two-finger touch, and full multi-touch capability for screen sizes up to 15-inches diagonal. Multitouch™ controllers deliver a best-in-class user experience:

  • Unmatched waterproofing capability
  • Thick glove and CAPSENSE™ button support
  • Fast refresh & scan rates
  • Low power consumption
  • Excellent accuracy & multi-finger linearity

PSOC™ 4 HV (High Voltage) is a family of products providing one-chip solutions for smart sensor designs for automotive. It integrates high precision and programmable analog blocks, programmable digital blocks along with high-voltage (12V) operation integrating communication transceivers such as LIN / CXPI PHY, and an ARM Cortex M0+ CPU with embedded memory.

PSOC™ 4 HV family devices are designed to be compliant with the automotive functional safety level of ASIL-B according to ISO 26262.

ModusToolbox™

ModusToolbox™ Software is a modern, extensible development environment supporting a wide range of Infineon microcontroller devices, including automotive PSOC™ 4. Itoffers a variety of code repositories on GitHub that are comprehensive, flexible, and atomic. This means that you will have access to all of the resources you need, can use them in your own workflow, and obtain only those resources which are necessary for your project. These repositories include board support packages (BSPs), low-level resources like a hardware abstraction layer (HAL) and peripheral driver library (PDL), and middleware that enables industry-leading features such as CAPSENSE™.

Drive Core for PSOC™

Infineon’s PSOC™ Drive Core is a scalable software bundle that accelerates development, simplifies migration, and reduces commercial and supplier management complexities.
